Aquatic Pathogen Template Database(AquaPathogen X)
The AquaPathogen X database compiles epidemiological information, in particular the genetic, phenotypic, ecological, spatial, and temporal characteristics, associated with single isolates of multiple aquatic animal pathogens. The interface was built on a FileMaker Pro application, which is a user-friendly database software program that is both Mac and Windows compatible and is available in 60 countries in 11 languages. This template database can catalog the abiotic and biotic traits associated with isolates of various pathogens (e.g. viruses, parasites, bacteria, etc.) from multiple aquatic animal host species (e.g. fish, shellfish, shrimp, etc.). Any of the epidemiological factors listed in the database can be queried. A key component of the database is the inclusion of genetic sequences as another epidemiological trait that can be used as a search parameter. Genetic sequence searches can identify identical matches or sequences with 1-2 nucleotide mismatches. Fish health researchers and resource managers can utilize the AquaPathogen X database as an in-house catalog for their own aquatic pathogen isolates. The cataloging of isolates from different aquatic pathogen species simultaneously is a unique feature to the AquaPathogen X database that can be used in surveillance or monitoring of emerging aquatic animal diseases.
Users must have some knowledge of FileMaker Pro application functions to adequately modify the database to their specifications. The downloaded database currently has developer privileges, which allows the user to customize any aspect of the database. To launch the database please use the following log-ins:

The economic and environmental impact of aquatic invasive species (AIS) within the Columbia River Basin (CRB) can be significantly reduced through a coordinated research and monitoring effort designed to solve management problems. The CRBAIS database provides a wide range of biological and physical information required by researchers and managers to develop new ways of eliminating or reducing the impact of AIS throughout the CRB in a changing climate.

Infectious Hematopoietic Necrosis Virus (MEAP-IHNV)
The MEAP-IHNV database contains over 1000 records that provide background information and genetic sequencing data for individual isolates of the fish virus Infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV). The database focuses on IHNV isolates collected throughout Western North America from 1966 to the present. It also includes a smaller number of IHNV isolates from Eastern Russia, and in the future we will add a small number of representative IHNV isolates from Europe and Asia. The purpose of this database is to provide access to detailed data for all parties interested in IHNV molecular epidemiology, such as fish health professionals, fish culture facility managers, and academic researchers. The database has flexible search capabilities and generates various output formats, including tables and maps, that we hope will assist users in developing and testing hypotheses about how IHNV moves across aquatic landscapes and changes over time. By engaging the expertise of the broader community of colleagues interested in IHNV, our goal is to enhance the overall understanding of IHNV epidemiology, including defining sources of disease outbreaks and viral emergence events, identifying virus traffic patterns and potential reservoirs, and understanding how human management of salmonid fish culture impacts disease. Ultimately this knowledge will be used to develop new strategies to reduce the impact of IHN disease in cultured and wild fish.

Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia Virus (MEAP-VHSV)
The MEAP-VHSV database contains records that provide background information and genetic sequencing data for individual isolates of the fish virus Viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus (VHSV). The database focuses on VHSV isolates collected from free-ranging fish throughout the Great Lakes region in North America from 2003 to the present. To the best of our knowledge, it includes all available virus isolates collected from Great Lakes fish since the emergence of VHSV in 2003. In the future we will add VHSV isolates from the west and east coasts of North America, and a small number of representative isolates from Europe and Japan. The purpose of this database is to provide access to detailed data for all parties interested in North American VHSV molecular epidemiology, such as fish health professionals, fish culture facility managers, and academic researchers. The database has flexible search capabilities and generates various output formats, including tables and maps, that we hope will assist users in developing and testing hypotheses about how VHSV moves across aquatic landscapes and changes over time.
