From Portland/Vancouver:

1. Take I-5 north (or south) to Portland (from Portland International Airport, take I-205 south to I-84 east).

2. Go east on I-84 for about 30 miles.

3. Cross the Columbia River at Bridge of the Gods ($0.75 toll fee) in Cascade Locks, Oregon.

4. Head east on State Highway 14.

5. Drive through the towns of Stevenson and Home Valley.

6. About 4 miles east of Home Valley (milepost 58) turn left where you see signs for the Willard National Fish hatchery (Cook-Underwood Road).

7. Follow Cook-Underwood Rd. for approximately 5 miles - you will go through the town of Mill A, about 2 miles from the lab.

8. The Lab is located on the north side of Cook-Underwood Rd., immediately down the hill from the turn-off for the town of Willard (Willard Road).

From Alternate route (more highway driving - previous route is slightly quicker):

1. From Portland, go east on I-84 for 60 miles until reaching Hood River, Oregon.

2. Take the third exit (labeled White Salmon, Government Camp) off I-84 and cross the bridge to Washington state ($0.75)

3. After crossing the bridge, turn left (west) on State Highway 14 and drive about 1 mile and cross the Big White Salmon River.

4. Turn right on Cook-Underwood Road and travel on this road for about 9 miles.

5. Drive across the bridge over the Little White Salmon River

6. The Lab is immediately on the right-hand (north) side of Cook-Underwood Road past the bridge.

From Eastern Oregon/Washington:

1. From I-84 West, take the first Hood River exit (labeled White Salmon/Government Camp) and cross the toll bridge.

2. After crossing the bridge, turn left (west) on State Highway 14 and drive about 1 mile and cross the Big White Salmon River.

3. Turn right on Cook-Underwood Road and travel on this road for about 9 miles.

4. Drive across the bridge over the Little White Salmon River

5. The Lab is immediately on the right-hand (north) side of Cook-Underwood Road past the bridge.
