B.S. Biology - Ecology, Evolution and Conservation, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, 1998.
Ms. Wright is currently working as a Fisheries Biologist for the U. S. Geological Survey, Western Fisheries Resource Center, Columbia River Research Lab in Cook, Washington. Currently, Ms. Wright is a member of a team using radio telemetry to monitor the behavior of juvenile salmonids as they approach and pass Bonneville Dam on the lower Columbia River. This research evaluates the efficiency of passage and guidance structures on the dam and assesses survival rates of outmigrating juvenile salmon.
Previous to coming to the CRRL, Ms. Wright worked primarily with tropical shark species, both captive and wild. She led a behavioral study on the social structure of a captive population of nurse sharks at Point Defiance Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington, and worked as a member of an international team of scientists researching population structure and genetics of Lemon sharks in and around Atol das Rocas, Brazil.
