B.S. Biochemistry, University of New Hampshire.

Currently: Fishery Biologist, USGS, WFRC, Columbia River Research Laboratory, Cook, WA.

My undergraduate work at the University of New Hampshire involved the study of reproductive and comparative neuro-endocrinology of agnathan and teleost fishes. This led me to seek more experience in the field of fish biology. I began my tenure at the CRRL studying gas bubble disease and the smoltification process in outmigrating juvenile salmon in the Columbia and Snake Rivers. Later, I studied gas bubble disease and community structure of resident fishes in Rufus Woods Reservoir. Currently, I have returned to the agnathan world to study adult Pacific lamprey migration behavior in the John Day River Basin and the use of pheromone cues by adult Pacific lampreys during migration and spawning. I enjoy communicating scientific work to non-scientists, and have recently taken on the collateral duty of CRRL Outreach Coordinator.
