B.A. Environmental Studies, University of California, Santa Cruz. Currently, Fish Biologist, USGS Western Fisheries Research Center, Columbia River Research Laboratory, Cook, Washington. Past positions include crew leader on restoration related landscape construction projects and documenter for a groundwater monitoring firm.
Mr. Jones worked on landslide remediation projects and wetland mitigation projects within the greater Seattle area for several years, before beginning his career in fisheries biology. In addition to his research on the migration behavior of juvenile salmonids at Lower Granite Dam, he has enjoyed participating in the annual snorkel surveys of threatened Wind River steelhead for the past three years. With his career, he intends to use his skills to improve salmon protection in the Columbia Basin. When not at work, you may find him fly-fishing on one of the many local rivers of the Columbia Gorge.
